DES shows support for Mrs. Haney

Way to go, Mrs. Haney!

Demorest Elementary Family supports second grade teacher Bridgit Haney in her fight against cancer. On Thursday, October 8 Mrs. Haney received her last chemotherapy treatment. Before she left for her final chemo treatment she came by the school to cross the finish line for treatments. Mrs. Haney's second grade class held the finish line as she linked arms with her second grade teammates and daughter to cross the line. The staff wore pink in honor and support of Mrs. Haney winning her battle over cancer. It is really important to the Demorest Family that Mrs. Haney has a strong support team. Mrs. Haney will continue other treatments over the next couple months and plans to return to her second graders in January.
